Change Assigned Form for a Grid

The Change Assigned Form tool in the Grid Menu Circle with 3 horizontal lines menu icon enables you to change which Form opens from a Grid. The Form you select will become the default for this Grid in the current View in all modules. You can also use this tool to remove a Form from the Grid.

For example, if you changed the assigned Form to the Work Orders Full View, any modules using the Work Orders Full View to display Work Orders will also now show this selected Form.

Lock and key icon Requires the Lucity Apps > Lucity Web > Allowed to Design Views and Forms permission.

  • Open the View and Grid for which you want to change the assigned Form.

  • Select the Menu Circle with 3 horizontal lines menu icon and select Change Assigned Form. A pop-up similar to the following appears:

  • Select a form from the Form to assign to this grid dropdown list.
  • Select one of the following options for your selected Form:

    • Select Remove Assigned to remove the selected Form from this Grid and View.

    • Select Save to assign this Form to this Grid and View.

  • Your Form changes are applied to this and all instances of the current Grid and View.
